Charity Fashion Shows & Dress911

Charity fashion shows have been growing in popularity as a means to raising needed funds for notable causes while also putting on a great show. At Dress911, we regularly participate with local schools in supplying them with dresses to help make their event a success. Most recently, we have worked with the teams from King’s College(middle & bottom photos) and Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School-Strathroy(top photo). We extend a big thank the lovely team and facilitators of both events for allowing us the opportunity to assist them and we’re already looking forward to next year’s shows.

For those who live in and around London, ON, we encourage you to stop by our warehouse-store to view our lovely selections in person. We have extended our hours for May and are open 7 days a week.

It’s Mom’s Month!

She tucked us in at night, packed our lunches, taught us how to braid hair and taught us about love. She’s…our mothers! With Mother’s Day fast approaching it’s time we all show our moms (and grandmothers!) a little appreciation and affection. We all know how busy our lives can get and how we can take the things she does for granted. Sometimes she might make us angry, or gets on our nerves but that doesn’t change the fact that she has donated her own time, energy and love into our lives. So take some time this month (and everyday, if you can!) to show her that you appreciate the things she does/has done for you. Maybe make her breakfast in bed, send her flowers or a sweet note or even just spend some time with her! And if all else fails…there’s always a Dress911 giftcard

And to all the moms out there reading this…Happy Mother’s Day! <3

Spring styles coming coming coming…

Hi Ladies,
I hope everyone is doing well and getting excited about the changing weather!
Finally, my body is getting adjusted to the time change since my recent return from Thailand; lots of new fabulous finds will be here soon! We have some exciting new styles that we are offering here at Dres911, including the cutest styles pictured above (only available in Canada at Dress911).
As well, for those of you following you would have seen our latest styles from Trollied Dolly. We will have more of their beautiful frocks posted in the Coming Soon section next week with arrival in May.

We have made a few changes to the Dress911 site to serve you better and help you get the dress you want. If a particular size is sold out in a style that you want you can now request to be notified if, and when, that particular size is restocked of if one comes back on return. Simply go to the product and click on whichever size you need. If the size is presently sold out a pop up will appear allowing you to request to be notified if that size becomes available. However, remember that most styles are not restockable.

Family Day February 20th

Hi Ladies,
Just a quick note to let you know that Monday February 20th is family day here in Ontario(and a couple of other provinces). As such, Dress911′s warehouse store will be closed for the holiday. However, online orders are still being shipped as normal and CanadaPost deliveries and pickups are operating, too.

Hi Ladies,
It was great to hear that 2/3 Canadian groundhogs say that winter is finished and I hope that the prediction is true! Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and you still have time to get that perfect party dress. And for those who have a special prom to attend this year, super cute short prom dresses at amazing prices will start arriving later this week in limited quantities. You can take a sneak peak at the prom styles that will be arriving by visiting our Coming Soon section. If there is a style you love be sure to sign up to be notified when it arrives.

For our local customers who are able to make it into our warehouse-store we will open in February from Monday to Saturday 10:00-4:00. Its always great to see all of you and thanks for not keeping Dress911 your little secret!

Hi Ladies,
We are very excited to be into 2012 and are looking forward to entering the Year of the Dragon in a few short weeks (Chinese New Year starts Jan 23rd). It’s nice for things to be getting back to normal after the holidays and a fun full year ahead awaits at Dress911. In addition to offering unique and interesting casual and party dresses, we will also be bringing in a selection of amazingly priced semi-formal dresses in Spring that are suitable for graduation and prom. Be sure to regularly check our Coming Soon section to get a first peek at upcoming styles. You can also sign up to be the first notified on the new arrivals that you love the most.

With only one week till Christmas the lovely Lynzie Kent has realeased her 2nd Christmas cover song for all to enjoy! As the countdown to Christmas begins, be sure to remember to post a photo of yourself as part of of Monthly fan Photo Contest for December. Everyone who participates this month will receive a $10 Gift Card added to their Dress911 account (that’s $10 per person, not per photo). This will be added to your account in early January. Lynzie Kent’s first Christmas cover video released…

Hi Ladies,
We were very excited to see the first Christmas cover video released by Lynzie Kent this week. Little Toy Trains by Roger Miller was the first song released and it’s fantastic. If you haven’t already done so, you should become a fan of Lynzie Kent and checkout her other work. Dress911 provided the dresses for Lynzie in her videos and she is wearing the vintage-inspired Print Charming Dress $59.95 and the Something Sweet Necklace $19.95 in this one. Enjoy the video and look forward to her releasing two more Christmas videos in the coming weeks!
