I had initially purchased this to wear for my engagement photos. I wanted something that was my style and had a lot of movement. When I stumbled upon this skirt I thought that it was perfect. It checked off all of the boxes: midi, twirly, great for dressing up or down, and navy blue (plus the bonus of pockets!). When I received the skirt, I tried it on right away. I have a 25.5 inch waist and the small fit beautifully. The fabric felt sturdy, I could twirl in it, the buttons were strong, and it matched my fiancé’s outfit. So, I happily ripped off the tag and threw it in the wash. I wash everything before wearing it and have never had a problem even with delicate sweaters and lacey garments. I turned it inside out, put it in a garment bag, and washed it on delicate in cold water. When I want to hang it to dry, I noticed that there was a 3 inch rip in the side seam by the bottom of the skirt. I am unsure if it was like this before washing, but I also noticed that after washing that there were loose threads everywhere and the fabric had started to pill! Regardless of if the rip happened before or after the wash, this skirt is poor quality and way over-priced for what I had received. I can’t return it and I certainly won’t be wearing it for my photos even if I fix the seam. This was my first purchase from Dress911, and even though I love shopping from Canadian stores, I doubt I will be purchasing anything from here again.
